Carli Suspension 2005+ Ford Super Duty 2 Degree Pinion Shim Kit
Carli Suspension 2005+ Ford Super Duty 2 Degree Pinion Shim Kit
It is said that the ideal pinion angle is 1°-3° in stock applications. There have been reports from customers of a driveline vibration around 70mph when under power from the rear driveline. All have provided specs within this 1°-3° range, however there have been cases of affected vehicles being equipped with these 2° pinion shims which alleviated the issue.
The end pinion measurement on the two tested vehicles was 4° and 5°; both were perfectly smooth under power at all speeds. This has influenced the belief that the 1°-3° spec isn't ideal for lifted applications; after all, you can’t argue with results!
NOTE: These will NOT combine with any lift block. Customers running blocks will need to seek a tapered block solution. These will also NOT work with OEM leaf springs or add a packs. Includes new center pin.
