Why Upgrade?

Most bolt-on long travel kits today reuse the factory spindles—leaving a critical weak link in your suspension system. The DRT Fabrication fabbed spindle eliminates this weak point, giving you the missing link in building a bulletproof suspension package.

This design is based on the factory spindle with no geometry changes, meaning it is compatible with any bolt-on long travel kit designed for OEM spindles. All non-Tacoma models will require a Tacoma bottom taper misalignment from your UCA manufacturer.

Key Features:

Strength & Construction:

  • Built from 3/16" & 1/4" A36 steel plate with internal gussets.
  •  100% MIG welded for maximum durability.

Steering:

  • Standard dual-shear heim steering (outer only) with correct heim center placement—unlike aftermarket conversions that alter geometry.
  • Works with factory inner/outer tie rods and steering extenders.
  • Includes 3/4" FK JMX12T heim, custom high-angle misaligns, and a rubber boot cover for protection.

Hub Block & Brake Integration:

  • Machined from billet steel with integrated caliper mounts.
  • ABS sensor relocated behind caliper bracket—protected from damage.
  • Stress risers minimized with extensive filleting.

Finish

  •  Powder coated satin black for a clean, durable finish.

Specs:

  • 3/16" & 1/4" A36 plate + internal gusset

Requirements & Compatibility

  • Fits mid-travel & long-travel applications using OEM-style spindles
  • Compatible with bolt-on LT kits and heim steering kits using a JMX12T heim (must use DRT HAM high-angle misaligns)

Brake Kit Fitment:

  •  SOS Performance BBK: Requires special adapter (contact SOS Performance).
  •  PowerBrake BBK: Requires special adapter (contact PowerBrake).
