Expedtion Essentials 2nd Gen Tacoma USB Powered Dash Mount (2012-2015)
Designed to be a lightweight and strong dash accessory mounting base for phones, gps, tablets etc.
It is a highly versatile mounting system with pre threaded (inserts) patterned after the RAM diamond mounts.
The 2TPAM includes a 4.8A Rapid Charger from Expedition Essentials. This usb charger does NOT include a cover.
USB C or USB A Options
The 2TPAM mounts to the top of your radio bezel, using through bolts (requires drilling) and side supports.
****Please note before purchasing, the 2TPAM is a technical install due to the design of the 2nd Gen Tacoma dash. It requires some removal of the plastic surrounding the radio console and the radio itself- it also requires minor trimming with a Dremel tool for clearance of the LH side support upon reinstallation--- All in all it took us approx 1.5 hrs to do this install for the first time--- although technical it is not overly difficult for a qualified installer***Â Â
The 2TPAM is a functional design and built for the trail and beyond.
Things to note:
We supply all necessary hardware for installation along with a harness and connectors to tap into the cigarette lighter for power.
The pre threaded holes for mounting devices are threaded at 10/32- we recommend a 10/32 1/2” long machine screw. Â
