The Bronco's factory tie rods have been known to have strength limitations, particularly when Bronco owners go off-roading with larger tires. ICON XD Forged Tie Rods provide a remedy with more robust materials and dimensions than stock. The inner tie rod and ball stud are CNC machined from 4140 chromoly and the threads have 18mm diameter, compared to 14mm on stock units. The outer tie rod is forged steel, with the same angle of curvature as the original, and compatible with a variety of wheel sizes and offsets. The tie rod ends are made of metal on metal and can be greased for extended service life; they have the same range of motion as stock. The ICON XD Forged Tie Rod kit is recommended for the most serious off-roaders.
