This exhaust replaces the factory rear (axle-back) section, providing increased clearance for off-road use, enhanced exhaust sound, and 10–15 lbs. of weight savings. On the 4Runner, this axle dump exhaust increases volume by approximately 5–10%, giving a slightly deeper tone. Testing shows idle volume increases by about 5 dB, and 7 dB at the top end.Â
The proprietary modular exhaust flange design allows this axle dump exhaust to fit both the GX550 and LC250. (The included exhaust flange spacer is for GX550 only.)
Direct bolt-on replacement, no cutting or trimming required.
